The engagement letter is the most important source document for both the client and advisor to reference to ensure that everyone is meeting the terms of the agreement. It would be very helpful if, when creating an engagement in Harness, a proposal could be linked to the engagement from a dropdown menu. This would allow a PDF of the signed engagement letter to be automatically uploaded to the files section of that engagement. This feature would save advisors time by eliminating the need to navigate away from the engagement to the proposals screen to review the engagement letter. It would also remove the extra steps of downloading and manually uploading the engagement letter to internal files for archiving. Additionally, this change would help keep documents better organized when using the Google Drive sync.

I have had to replace a final return on occasion. My process is to delete the return from the portal and upload the replacement with the same file name. When I do that, the file that shows up in the portal has a number 2 next to the file name. I prefer not to have it numbered, and we have no way to change it. If I delete something from the portal, I want to be able to use the same name. Ideally, I'd like to replace the file so that it overwrites the original file as opposed to deleting the original and uploading the replacement to eliminate additional steps.

When viewing the team tasks grouped by client, we would like to sort the profiles by alphabetical order for the client group or client name. The default is by the number of tasks but no option to sort by the group, which is what is displayed.

We need a place to be able to add notes regarding open tasks that can be displayed when we view all open tasks. This is important in managing all open items for a given user. As a manager I can review notes to understand why a task may still be open. As a staff member managing my open tasks I can leave notes for why something may not be completed or for things I need to get from a client or do before I complete the task.

When displaying team tasks, the default view should show only open and in-progress tasks. Blocked tasks should be excluded from the default view. Additionally, roadmap tasks should not appear in the initial view. The default display should be limited to workflow and engagement tasks only. Roadmap tasks should remain available as an optional filter that users can enable if they want to include them. The rationale: roadmap tasks often carry due dates well beyond current workflows, and surfacing them by default creates noise that makes the view harder to manage day-to-day.

There are sometimes situations when a return cannot be e-filed or there is an e-file rejection that cannot be resolved. We don’t currently have a way to add note to an engagement to explain that it was paper filed. I would like to request a status of "Paper Filed" for the "E-sign your final tax returns" task for these situations to make it perfectly clear to anyone looking at the engagement. If the client mails their return(s), we don’t always get a copy of the certified slip to upload to the task if we mark it accepted, and marking it as accepted implies that it was e-filed.

It would be nice if there was a way that the 8879 task was auto-completed upon signature rather than having to manually update the status of that task.

We need a way to be able to view client tasks that are part of a workflow. I am not seeing a way to pull them up. I can see team tasks, but we will want to view and manage client tasks across all workflows.

After creating a roadmap item, you are not able to open it up to either edit it or mark it as completed. You can delete it by clicking on the elipse
