Currently, when clients upload documents within Harness, there is no option to attach a note providing additional context. In other systems, clients use notes to quickly communicate status updates such as, "I've attached our documents, but another is forthcoming," or "here is my 1099. I'm still waiting on my K-1." This feature helps keep communications streamlined within the platform without needing to switch to email. Impact: Enhanced User Experience: Allowing a note to be attached with document uploads can give clients a way to immediately explain the status or context of the files they are submitting. Reduced Friction: Clients won’t need to exit Harness to send follow-up emails, making the process more seamless. Improved Communication: Advisors can quickly understand any nuances or pending elements related to the document submission, leading to more efficient follow-ups and reduced miscommunication. Outcome: Introduce an optional feature that allows users to attach a short note when they upload documents. This text field should be clearly visible during the upload process and easily accessible, ensuring that users can provide immediate context without disrupting their workflow.
