Streamline and improve client invoicing experience

The current invoicing process can feel inconsistent and confusing for clients. To improve both the client experience and the advisor workflow, it may be helpful to consider the following updates:
- Dedicated Invoice Section in the Client Portal:
Creating an area in the client portal that displays all outstanding invoices along with a complete history of prior invoices paid could make the process much clearer. Allowing advisors access to this same view would also help them quickly review each client’s billing status and confirm whether there are any open invoices. The current process of searching the Harvest portal for open invoices is time-consuming for advisors and leaves clients with limited visibility into their invoicing.
- Task Integration for Concierge-Drafted Invoices:
In the current workflow, invoices drafted by Concierge are sent directly to the client without using the “Pay Your Invoice” task. If you try to create a “Pay Your Invoice” task, the system automatically generates a new invoice draft instead of allowing you to link the task to the existing Concierge-prepared invoice. This lack of consistency in having a task paired to an outstanding invoice can lead to confusion for clients, since they often expect their portal to clearly display any required actions. Paying the final invoice is one of the most important tasks from an advisor’s perspective, and it would be helpful if it could appear alongside other required steps.
Implementing these changes could provide a clearer, more consistent invoicing experience for clients and help reduce administrative work for advisors.
