Ability to Move Client-Uploaded Documents
complete

Currently, when clients upload documents before signing an engagement letter, the documents has to be uploaded as a "permanent record". This process forces them to download, delete, and re-upload documents once the engagement letter is signed, creating extra work.
Impact:
(1) The extra step of deleting and re-uploading documents wastes valuable time and resources & takes advisors out of the optimal workflows.
(2) Client-uploaded files are more easily stored in the correct location, leading to better organization and accuracy for both advisors and clients.
Suggestion:
- Introduce a feature that allows advisors or members of the client success team to update or change document tags after upload. This will streamline document management and save time by eliminating unnecessary steps like deleting and re-uploading.
- Allow clients to upload files to future engagements if the engagement hasn't been created yet so their engagement files don't get saved as "Permanent Records"

NEW! Moving files from taxpayer perm to an engagement
You can now move files that were incorrectly uploaded to a taxpayer’s perm file into one of their engagements.
Navigate to the taxpayer’s files, click the action icon, click move, select the engagement the file belongs to. You can also move files in bulk by using the checkboxes and clicking 'move'.
