Context:
Currently, invoices sent to clients do not reference the name of the Advisor or their firm, making it difficult for clients to recognize the charge. The invoice only reference Harness or Harvest, which some clients may not be familiar with.
Advisors have shared that some clients question whether the invoice is legitimate or assume it is a scam. This has led to unnecessary back-and-forth communication, delayed payments, and in some cases, lost trust in the billing process. While the initial emails and reminders contain the name of the firm in the subject line, the reminders don't reference the name of the firm in the body of the email itself.
Impact:
Client Confusion: Clients struggle to verify if the invoice is associated with their tax advisor.
Delayed Payments: Advisors report that clients hesitate or refuse to pay invoices they don’t recognize.
Trust Issues: Some clients believe the invoice might be fraudulent, leading to negative experiences for both them and their advisors.
Increased Advisor Workload: Advisors must spend extra time reassuring clients and confirming invoice authenticity.
Desired Outcome:
Include the Advisor/Firm Name prominently on the invoice and in the body of email reminders linking to the invoice.
Ensure clear identification of the tax advisory firm that provided the service, so clients can easily verify the charge.
Improve client trust and reduce advisor support burden by making invoices more transparent and recognizable.
